Thin Lear, the mon iker of critically acclaimed New Jersey musician Matt Longo, has announced his highly anticipated sophomore album Many Disappeared to be released April 24th on First City Artists (Coco, Alexa Rose). Produced by the multi-Grammy award winning Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, The Mountain Goats), the ten-track collection is an elegant work of melancholia, a delve into the utter peculiarity of existing.

Thin Lear‘s lustrous indie folk has drawn acclaim from tastemakers like NPR, KEXP, Under The Radar, Bandcamp, and PopMatters’ Best Albums of the Year to name a few. He released his debut album Wooden Cave in 2020, followed by the vibrant EPs, A Beach of Nightly Glory and A Shadow Waltzed Itself, in 2024 and 2025 respectively. Longo has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Madi Diaz) and Matthew E. White (Natalie Prass, Hiss Golden Messenger) and shared stages with the likes of Jesse Malin, Greg Mendez, Charlie Parr, and The Shivers, among others.

"On par with the albums that inspired it: Leonard Cohen's dark backroom soliloquies and the more bittersweet moments of Harry Nilsson's drifty pop." – Fred Thomas, Allmusic

"His songwriting chops and his way with melody are a throwback to the timeless compositions of artists like Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison, and David Berman." – Chris Ingalls, PopMatters
