The Richard's are a rock-and-roll trio based out of RVA that believe their mission is to make music that reminds people of the power and energy that define rock music. From blues, jam, rock and even pop, The Richard's are able to explore musical forms that ebb and flow from one song to another seamlessly. Formed in 2018, the band was learning unique cover tunes seldom heard in the area. After writing their 1st tune, “White Lightning”, they quickly learned that their journey was just beginning. Eight years later, with close to 40 originals and 1 album, “Velvet Rope”, they have found their stride and continue to produce positive, driving, and infectious music for the masses. Founding member Ryan Hale (Midnight Spaghetti, Dead Country Stars) keeps the heartbeat of the band while being tasked with playing drums and singing the lead vocals. Simultaneously, he has accepted the challenge of being the primary lyricist for the band. With over 40 years of experience, he pulls from all the musical paths he has walked over the years. Next is their guitarist, Jeff Simpson (The Sequels). A man who was teaching at MIT by day and shredding at night, Jeff keeps a delicate balance between rhythms that provide the clay, and leads that are sculpted to perfection, giving them that tight rock-and-roll feel. He has a wide range of musical influences and is continually inspired by new aspects of music. He only uses 1 pedal, obtaining tonal variation by instead, focusing on pick-up selection, tone, and technique. Add in harmony vocals and you can hear his almost 50 years of experience ingrained into every note. Finally, Chuck Morgan provides the bottom-end base that is the quintessential link between melody and rhythm and providing lead vocals on occasion. He adds a pop style to their music, adding arrangements that keep listeners humming the tunes days after their shows. Honing his skills and earning his chops in LA, he played bass and sang for various LA bands, ultimately landing a recording contract there. Some of his music was played on several LA radio stations. In short, with 3 members there is no place to hide, instrumentally or vocally. The Richard’s have found the way to keep the audience wanting more after every song. They are grateful for everything they have found in each other and their music. Like they always say, “Don’t be a dick, when you can be a Richard!”

Alpha Jerk emerged from Fredericksburg's fertile music scene in the early 2000s, when rock veterans Larry Hinkle (Sore Losers, BEEF JERKY) and James Noll (Clark's Ditch, BEEF JERKY) began experimenting with new sounds in their gritty Charles Street practice space. After bringing Missy Colombo aboard to hold down the low end, the band unleashed their debut album Year of the Cock, followed by the Greenman EP, before going into an extended hibernation.
Fast forward seventeen years to the tail end of the pandemic—the original trio reconvened, discovering their chemistry hadn't just survived but intensified. With the addition of guitarist Mark Phelan's (Trucker Troy and the Convoy, BEEF JERKY) deft fretwork and the backing of Donny Smooth's newly minted 1111 venue, Alpha Jerk roared back to life on the live circuit. This renewed energy led to XIXI, a six-song collection featuring three originals alongside three carefully chosen covers that showcase the band's range and influences.
Riding this creative momentum into late 2023, Alpha Jerk began crafting their most ambitious project yet: a series of single releases throughout 2024. Standout tracks like "St. Helen," "Hellfire," "Book Burn R," and "Get it Outta My Head" demonstrate the band's evolution while maintaining their signature sound. Check out these releases and more in the player below—each track tells another chapter in Alpha Jerk's ongoing sonic adventure.

Lancaster-based Lady King & The Aces formed in the Spring of 2024. Self-described as "high-energy-psychedelic-rock," we draw influence from rock, funk, jazz and more. In our second year as a band, we released our debut album— on July 4th, 2025. We have played several high-profile shows as well, opening for nationally-touring bands such as Jimkata, Big Shrimp and Kendall Street Company. In January of 2026 we were nominated for the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards.
