Hit the drum harder. Tune the strings down. Dig deeper. And squeezeyour heart out every moment. All the rest is just elevator music tocalm your feeble brain in our capitalist dystopia. We want more. Bowhead is a collection of 5 audio insurgents from NYC. Dead set ondelivering an unhealthy dose of heavy, non-conformist fusion punk. Ourmembers have been in and are in a bunch of other bands: Karut, OiPolloi, Phobia, All Torn Up!, Cop/Out and more. If ya dig some of thatstuff, ya may dig some of this.We make heavy music for heavy times. Our tunes seek to escape thebanality in which we find ourselves. Sick of the fake platitudes, theheartless slogans, and the weak, cookie cutter riffs. Our tunes godeeper. Musically we don’t know what to call this. Just heavy.Lyrically, we write tunes about sentient trees cursing mountain godsand displaced insects colonizing ruined statues; we see the strugglesof today as needing consciousness than anyone seems to be engaging. Solike our tunes, we go deeper. Grab a shovel, you’ll dig this.
