Kenny Sharp is a singer, songwriter, and producer known for a signature genre-bending sound he calls, "Brown Liquor Music." His style is rooted in the American South and reflects the rich sonic landscapes of Nashville, Memphis, and his familial home of Muscle Shoals. His dynamic musical offerings are lauded by fans of Americana, Blues, Soul, Country, Funk and Rock 'n' Roll.

A natural-born storyteller, Sharp began his career as a rapper focused on lyrical skill and was signed by mentor LunchMoney Lewis to Prescription Songs. He has since become a sought after name for both his lyrics and melodies by film and television sync teams as well as music producers, artists and songwriters across genres including hip-hop, pop, and country and in markets including Nashville, Miami and Los Angeles.

Armed with a cut-to-the-soul vocal delivery, Sharp is a dynamic entertainer with a live show reminiscent of Muddy Waters, Sly and the Family Stone and James Brown.

An artist on the ascent, Sharp recently won Nashville's “Music City Mayhem" competition, an annual event hosted by Nashville's AAA station, Lightning100, featuring more than 650 entries and voted on by listeners and industry judges.

Sharp's summer sets include Bonnaroo, a major partnered event with National Museum of African American Music, a series of his own "Kenny Sharp Presents: A Family Affair" shows, and a run of co-bill dates with Tabitha Meeks through late summer.
