Elle PF is an indie-rock and alt-pop band that originally formed in Minneapolis and later relocated to Los Angeles. The band has been on hiatus since 2022 when lead singer and songwriter, Ranelle Johnson (aka Ranelle Labiche), took some time to focus on a new venture known as matrescence and motherhood. After yet another relocation, Johnson has now reformed Elle PF in Richmond, Virginia teaming up with musicians Kim McMasters (guitar), John Matter (bass) and Ben Mauch (drums). The new outfit is set to debut live at The Camel on November 1st and perform familiar tunes from the band’s three previously released albums, while new music is underway for 2027. The four-piece is known for merging lush orchestral landscapes with buoyant indie melodies and candid lyricism. A blend of classical training meets an experimental, DIY spirit to create a sound that spans cinematic alt-rock, electronic ballads, and gritty, grunge-tinged indie pop.
