The Sam Reed Syndicate w/ Hurricane Party, Fankie Mona
at The Camel
Friday, April 17th
Doors 9pm, Show 9:30pm

The Hurricane Party hails from Richmond, Virginia; a foodie’s paradise with amazing street art which is also a hipster enclave that ranks third nationally in the consumption of Pabst’s Blue Ribbon and is in the top 5 of the most tattooed cities in the U.S. And Richmond is on the storm track for hurricanes that follow the gulf stream up from the Caribbean. So, if a hurricane is coming, why not have a hurricane party?
The influences and inspirations for each band member are so different but what they found when they came together was the denominator that all of the music they liked had in common; the roots of American music.
You should listen to their music if you’d like to forget your cares for a while, elevate your mood or need an excuse to dance with an attractive stranger.
Their live shows are a trip down a funky gravel road in the South with no cell service. Always a good time, The Hurricane Party considers one of their high energy live shows a success when everybody dances and they get to meet their fans.
Everything is temporary. The past swallows moments as fast as they occur, and the future is uncertain. But somewhere in the ceaseless Hurricane of time there is always a Party going on.
