Dream Atlantic

In 2009, Dream Atlantic emerged onto the local music scene in Richmond, VA with the release of their debut full-length album, “Losing The Floor.” DA’s unique blend of melody and heavy energy stands out in a city dominated by hardcore and metal acts . Richmond magazine publisher, RVA Magazine, named Dream Atlantic a fantastic middle ground that is sure to appeal to fans of both heavier and more melodic rock varieties, describing their music as "double bass blasts and Southern-fried shredding." Dream Atlantic is named after a close friend, Derek Best, who passed away. His memory, as well as others they’ve lost, has brought DA an indescribable energy and passion. Already in their young careers, Dream Atlantic has won battle of the bands on the regional level, rocked the stage with national acts such as The Used, Bury Your Dead, Poison The Well, Vanna, and has played numerous benefit concerts.
Dream Atlantic's sophomore album "Gunslingers" was released September 7th, 2010. The band released their first video for the song "Vixens" on February 18th with director Nicholas Baker. DA released a cover ep with songs from artists such as The Scorpions, No Doubt, and Johnny Cash in the fall of 2011. The band recently finished recording a full-length record at Full Circle Recording with Dan Uphoff in Chester, VA. The record titled "Legacy" and becomes available October 22nd!
