Righter
Righter
Righter is the newest project of indie songwriter Hannah Goad. While Goad has performed as a solo act for several years in Richmond, she has recently recruited a rhythm section to complement her direct and deeply personal songs. The trio has performed at such venues as Hardywood and Gallery 5 with positive reception.
Righter draws from Goad’s years as a singer in the folk community, with vocals that have garnered comparisons to Laura Marling, but the music and instrumentation reveal a blues bent more reminiscent of Margaret Glaspy or Alabama Shakes. In January, Righter recorded an EP of original songs at Tracehorse Studio in Nashville with producer Collin Pastore (Lucy Dacus ‘No Burden’) slated for release later this year.
