Dropping Julia is a pop-rock band in Charlottesville, Virginia, formed around the original songs of front-woman Emily Kresky. Hailing from Northern NJ, Emily began writing songs and picked up the guitar at age 19, which she carried all over the U.S. and across the pond, cutting her teeth in pubs, bars, restaurants and street performances.

With the addition of bassist Niko Cvetanovich, drummer Sean Bracken and lead guitarist Alex Bragg, her songs took on a new personality. With lively elements of rockabilly, pop, rock, funk and R&B layered over songs rooted in folk, Dropping Julia participates in the lush tapestry of American Roots music adding their own eclectic spin that is both uniquely modern and longingly retro. Their compelling performances, infused with authenticity and soul, richly combine a steadfast rhythm section, hauntingly alluring lyrics reminiscent of a dimly lit barroom, and whimsical yet sultry vocals, Radiating with dedicated musicianship, entertaining camaraderie, and genuine friendship, Dropping Julia sparkles with Jersey sass and Virginia charm. Their onstage chemistry has a magnetic effect, drawing fans and newcomers alike to join in on the the celebration.

In only one year together the band has recorded and released their debut full length album, “Wake Up”, while tirelessly traveling the east coast, charming audiences in their hometown and beyond on stages including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall, Charlottesville’s Fridays After Five, NorFOLK Festival, Misty Mountain Music Festival, Rawk Fest and TomTom Founders Festival. Radiating with dedicated musicianship and genuine friendship, Dropping Julia’s onstage chemistry has a magnetic effect, drawing fans and newcomers alike to join in on the the celebration.

Members include Emily Julia Kresky (guitar, vocals), Niko Cvetanovich (bass) and Sean Bracken (drums), Alex Bragg (guitar) and Jonathan Lingerfelt (fiddle).

Matt Monta is an Ohio born-and-bred musician who performs original music threaded by folk, blues, and American rock influences.

With songs characterized by characterized by thoughtful lyrics and storytelling, he may perform solo with his voice, acoustic, guitar, and boots as accompaniment, or with his band, the Haymakers, a five-piece American rock band playing Telecaster driven windstorm songs with harmonies and big choruses.

He released his first full-length solo record, American Rhymin, in March of 2013 and released his second full-length album, Where You Find Love, with they Haymakers on April 11, 2015.
